Large sprawling park encompassing prarie and wetland habitat. Ten mile trail surrounding the lake, some paved, hiking, road bike, mountain bike, dog friendly. Large modern campground with showers and mature trees for shade. Only wish it had a primitive campground for those with a more adventurous spirit.
What a great place. Clean and very nice
Very nice camp grounds. Beautiful view right on the lake. The camper/rv sites had plenty of shade. The only thing we didn't like is the sites are small and not setup well with where the fire pits are placed. But the camp grounds are very well kept and clean. The bathrooms were one of the nicest we've seen out of all the campgrounds we've been to in Iowa. There is also a nice playground in the middle of the campgrounds for the kids to play.
Very pleasant area. Large camping sites, lots of shade, lake, lots if hiking trails. There are also cabins available for rent.
Great campsite, but there are a ton of kids that keep running through my campsite. Bathrooms are clean, camp host are nice, thanks
